Perfect Trolling Speed Doesn't Mean An Expensive Trolling Motor

Perfect trolling speed doesn't necessarily mean the addition of an expensive trolling motor, or does it?  You can make this fixed-position trolling plate a simple but extremely effective part of your fishing strategy or buy a trolling motor. In the up position, the plate acts as a stabilizer, smoothing out the ride in rough water and reducing porpoising and cavitation. In the down position, it serves as a brake so you can maintain the ideal trolling speed.

Slows even big motors down to that ever-so-slow fish tantalizing speed. A significant invention in the sport of troll fishing, Happy Troller mounts on the anti-cavitation plate to allow fine control of trolling speed. At cruising speed, your boat?s stability is enhanced. Locks in down position for trolling. Locks in up position for cruising. Happy Troller is the answer to correct trolling speed. Use it year-round in all boating activities; salt and fresh water.

Anglers no longer have to deal with drag buckets, drift socks and trolling motors to reach the perfect fishing speed. The advanced Happy Troller from Davis Instruments economically, effectively and safely slows down even large engines.

Employing a heavy-duty marine aluminum plate, the Happy Troller mounts on the engine's anti-cavitation plate and locks down behind the prop by simply pulling a cable. This slows the boat's speed and reduces tangled fishing lines that can occur with other products. Designed for harsh marine conditions, it features a clear anodized aluminum finish. In the up position, the versatile Happy Troller enables full, unobstructed propeller thrust, while acting as a stabilizer. It helps boats run smoothly in choppy waters and minimizes porpoising and cavitation.

The Happy Troller installs in just 15 minutes and comes complete with stainless steel mounting hardware and operating instructions. Available in two sizes, the large model fits all I/Os and outboards 50 hp and bigger, while the small covers outboards from 20 to 50 hp.

Sounds like a great idea, but a trolling motor is much quieter than the outboard. This product is ideal for deep water trolling, not where stealth is needed.

The Happy Troller from Davis Instruments retails for only $135.99.
